  A recently remodeled store, it has well organized floor plans shelves, they are also quick to open cashier stations to keep the checkout lines bearable.

  The expanded concept is great for this location, however the space is too small for the "extra" concept. Selection is great, but shopping here can't be enjoyable, the aisles are too narrow, boxes everywhere, and too many customers getting jammed in their shopping carts. I love the product selection at smart and final stores, go about every week mostly to Figueroa St in DTLA, in a year probably spend around $5-6K. Alhambra location at least the day I went showed poor management (bulk items missing prices, no pens to write codes, boxes everywhere blocking freezers and aisles, four registers open with most people getting lots of items yet two were 10 items or less, either poorly trained or overworked or less than competent cashiers that took more than ordinary to check out customers (I switched lanes after the cashier got stuck for ten minutes with a customer, and then in my lane I got stuck as well (first the cashier overlooked the bar to separate orders and rang some of my stuff to the prior customer then see pens to write codes) although I had taken a photo is the PLU#). At the end I ended up getting charged bulk items with the wrong codes and included in my purchase a bag of bulk walnut pieces that the cashier or the employee she asked for codes must have collected from the floor, I didn't notice till I got home that I was added this in a bag tied up with a piece of chewed up blue gum.
